Remember

When I get stressed and life just seems to be spiralling out of control my dear friend always says breathe and remember  your feet.
She is much more eloquent when she says it but the simple statement always seems to pull me back.  Here it is, me breathing and remembering my feet along with my beautiful boy.  His will never be this small again and mine will never be this young.  This moment is mine it's time skip the laundry, stop worrying about the toys and the unkempt house just think of your feet and breathe!

36-39 of 48

Made fireplace mantal swags and lots and lots of gift bags for teachers and neighbors!  Then I made gift bags for our gifts! I love them and used up a huge chunk of my Christmas fabric.  They are easy to wrap and there is no trash!  Will definately do more of them next year!

Peacock Rain

Every year we go to Peacock Lane in Portland and guess what?  It rains!
This year is started to snow and I convinced or should I say coerced my husband to take the leap.  Kicking and screaming we went and low and behold the rain stopped and we walked the street oohing and ahhhing.  Then as we sat our tired and cold tushes in the car it started to rain.

We will do it again next year and I am sure the story will be the same!

Christmas Eve Birthday!

Mary my mother in law has her birthday on Christmas eve. Tough many people I know that have December birthdays are sorrowful about this she says it's great because she always knows the family will be together.  I would agree!

Why buy toys?

WHAT?

Yes that's a boy Barbie shoe on Mr. Logan

Yes he did it himself and yes he played with  it for a good 30 min.  We don't really need to buy toys just toy accessories.

Meat Pie

Not a huge meat lover but this pie was yumm!  My one complaint about this book is there are always a lot of steps so not for week night cooking, at least not my kind of week night cooking!  I have tried the salad dressings though and they are quick and yummy.

Thrift Shopping

Hit the thrift shop today in search of a little muffin tin and bingo found one for $1.99 then found this massive bag of stamps... this pile and more for $7.99.  The kids went wild it also had 6 stamp pads.  This kept them busy for an hour!

Paper Dolls

Thanksgiving day at my moms we went up to the attic and found 5 or 6 boxes of my old stuff (mostly trash).  We did also find my old paper dolls.

Look at those clothes!!  What a find and as long as Logan is sleeping Sophia is safe to play with them.

The busy cook

Logan is my little shadow in the kitchen and I am often looking for jobs he can do to "help".  He has been playing with these tongs on and off for a month.  His job??  Pick up the carrots with the tongs and put them in the salad bowl.

Guess what???

Success!

Home Made Birthday

We had a Fairytopia birthday.  With the pink cake and such but we had to add a little home made to the day.  The gift bags were made from David's shirts and these little guys and gals were all things I had around the house.

Phia and I were out shopping and she spotted this awesome fabric.  So after backing it and cutting...a lot of cutting she got some fabric paper dolls.  Even though she had picked the fabric she was surprised and thrilled when she opened them up.
