Proof

Here is proof they do actually sit quietly occasionally.  Ahem ok so this is 5:30 in the morning and they are eating dry cereal but still they are sitting and they are quiet so there!

Beans, beans the magical fruit...

A few bags of beans and an under the bed plastic bin is magic on a rainy afternoon.

They played for hours and though it was a heck of a mess it was easily swept up and tucked away for later.

Made these little birds with something in mind that didn't work out.  Then David said hey why don't you make a nest.  So here it is two birds a nest and a couple of eggs.

What's Cookin'

Well we did a little baking and cooking this weekend.

A little playdough makin.

A little counter cleaning (which led to very wet soapy clothes)

A little bread makin.

Which lead to flour covered clothes.

A little meatball makin.

Ok is it just me or is it a total turn on to have a man doing the cookin?  I am not a big meat fan and of course I wasn't touching the stuff but it was sure fun watching him rolling them and cooking them.

Shave and a potty toot sweet!

It happend!  This morning I gave David a shave and Logan wanted one. 

Giggle Giggle

Then he rips off his diaper signs potty and runs willy nilly for the bathroom.

My 18 month old did his business in the potty!  We cheered and whooped then the reality set in.  My baby isn't gonna be a baby much longer.  SOB...SIGH...Get a cup of coffee and enjoy the moment.

Toys

Have you ever noticed that the intended purpose of  a toy has no bearing on if and how it will be played with?

Sophia spent a good hour stacking the furniture  for her doll house to make a "castle"  The doll house stood happily vacant so Logan could pull it around and use it for a step stool.

Go Figure.

Took a little hike out on the Lacamas Lake trail.  Beautiful day!

Signing Haps

Logan has started signing up a storm.  Here is a little game they play.  The car seats are cars and they tip backwards.  He is telling Daddy that Sophia needs help.

Ok I feel like a cheat but here it is.  I bought two of these Spiderman tops years ago to make a quilt for David and never did.  I have not made Logan a baby quilt so here it is.  I will do a patchwork one for him when he is bigger.  This was a quick one day project and the only purchase I needed ot make was blue thread (Ok confession I did spend $25.00 on more fabric though because I have finally burned through the Moda verigated colors that I bought for Daria's first quilt ummm 13 years ago.)  So here it is.
