Pumpkin Patch

We went out to Savie Island this year for a change of pace. It rained the whole way out but cleared off as soon as we got the kids all bundled up. The universe is good! Then it poured the whole rest of the day. Pays to get up and out early sometimes. We hit the corn maze.

Played on the hay bails.

Slept the whole way home ahhh!  Beautiful out there even wet... spent the rest of the day dreaming about living on a farm minus all the hard work that farmers do to raise our food.

A little quilted neck warmer for myself.  I love it wear it on my early 5:00 am walks and keeps me toasty!

Quality toys!

Sophia got this from GAB and GUR when she was 1 I believe.  She played with it often.  A beautiful stacking toy by Haba called the flower garden.  Logan has discovered it and if left alone will play for a long time. 

Sometimes though a sister just needs to help a little.

Then she goes back to her shopping list, birthday cards, story, spider drawing or whatever else she may be doing.

Building Building

We are working with two sets of building blocks.  A set my niece shared with us that have the A,B,C's and  a beautiful castle set that great aunt Becky (GAB & GUR) great uncle Rich got Sophia a time back.

I am back!

Well the economy has finally impacted our family.  David lost his job.  Now that I am over the initial shock I am ready for the challenge.  We have always lived cheap and we have the skills to live cheaper.  We are not alone there are many families coming to the same conclusions as we are.  We buy more than we need,  time is more important than toys and above all else we are all (knock on wood) healthy.

On my morning walks I am spending more and more of my time just being thankful.  I guess that is my one wish for everyone be thankful!
