20-29 of 48

I have been sewing up a storm.  I am ready for a sewing break.  Here is what I got done.

This jacket is reversable.  I wish I would have made a bigger size but it will fit her for the first few months of school.

All the patterns were from the book

Then I did these bath matts.  Sophia helped me pin the strips and they are slightly wonky.  The whole family loves them.  All stash fabric which I am super excited about.  Pattern from Amanda Soule's book "The Handmade Home"  Love her book and blog.

He carried these around and played with them for a couple of hours.

Biking fun

We have moved into a new phase.  Sophia is all about the new bike.  I worked a half day and when I came home she was begging for a bit of a ride.  So off to the playground we rode.

Then I got to sit under this ahhhh.

Old Friends

One of my all time favorite peeps stopped in today and brought her amazing daughter with her.  (double bonus!)

Can you guess who this may be?
My hamsister...
Friends since 5...
First friend to get married (and to a great guy and still married might I add)
I was there for the birth of her first child or at least until she had a c-section...
We rode the train to California one summer when we were in high school and got a guy kicked off for bottom grabbing...

Did you guess??

Lynn Sluder (Johnson)

Standing out in the heat.

Sophia giving Raimee a driving lesson or vice versa.
Old friends are a real treat!

Family Crafting

We got some lavendar from the farm quite a while back and now that it is good and dry we took some time to pull the buds off.  What a yummy smell.  Will turn it into something later.  Most of it ended on the floor and in the trash but we all did clean up which turned out to be Logan's favorite part.

But where are the kids you ask?

Terrified and stuck to me like glue.
However David is like the pied piper.
Good fun.

15-19 of 48

Ok this is a little bit of a cheat because they were so easy but hey I used my stash so I am counting them each individually!  I made snack bags.  I am tired of using all of the plastic baggies.  These are cotton on the outside with a ripstop nylon lining and velcro closure.  I will make more have used them already but I will put the velcro lower so it folds on top of itself.  (to keep those raisins in.) Dig the Pirate theme :)

Orcas Island

It was beautiful!  Wonderful to see family and so here I have highlights in pictures!

David is strangly good at the grass whistle.

Yep sea slug!

Just a little happy dance!

Got to see Daria jump as well but the pics were terrible.

Of course we had to have a little ride on Sandy for .50 she got a good long ride.

Looks like we may be buying her riding lessons for her 4th Birthday in Nov.  EEK!
