That's right!

Another dead appliance!  We believe the fairy's are being very naughty at our house.  Not to fear it has been replaced!

The Zoo

My Cousin's son just graduated from high school and drove up from California for a visit with my Aunt.  Today we hit the zoo.
Isn't that the cutest!  Phia said "I want the man to go with us."  This once little boy is now the man ahhh!  He was great ran his little hiney off chasing Logan.

Here they are riding the Dinosaur! I love summer!

The wound!

My kids are talented!  Proof... Phia was riding her bike around the staircase in the house in her Thumbalina dress and high heels when she flew off and caught her tongue on the corner of the banister.  The first picture is after 4 days and the next 8.  It is remarkable how quickly it has healed!

We are a family of long tongues and oh so proud!

My pretty 4 year old!

Cloudy Closed Fort

We tried to go up to Fort Vancouver but sadly they were closed...Or maybe not.  We walked the perimeter and through the gardens.  Then we went up to the park.

A fairy house in the making.

It was a lovely day.  The rain started as we climbed into the car could not have timed it more perfect.

Loving

The  month of May has been a stinker.  As you may have noticed the blog has been well ...abandon.  The end of the school year for a Librarian is amazingly busy and this year we will be replacing the carpet in the building which has made inventory and move my middle name.  I can't complain too much as I have had some amazing helpers which has jump started me further into the process then I could have imagined. There are some things at this point that are keeping me sane and happy!
My father-in-law left this sweatshirt last year and it is my new favorite walking jacket.  The hat is David's.

This is e-meals.  You pay $15.00 for three months and you get a menu, shopping list,  cooking directions and they choose foods that are on sale.  Truth is I stink at cooking and David was well totally incompetent.  The best thing about this is the recipes are EASY and David since I subscribed 3 weeks ago David has been doing at least 50% or more of the cooking.  We have also not had one stinker of a meal yet.  The only down side is I have no idea what I am looking for in the store so it has taken me a bit longer to search the isle.  Completely worth it though as we have not eaten the same meal twice in 3 weeks and I have not had to do one bit of planning!

My worn out walking shoes.  Call me crazy but I love my 5 am walks.

This is the one appliance that I would run into a burning building for.  It's not pretty but it brews a dang good cuppa Joe!

Geez

So we went to the parade and it was great!  Then I get this pic of an awesome train....  and as it rolls past David points to writing on the top of the back that says "One nation...One language."  Now I don't want my blog to become political but hello!!! I am married to a Deaf man who was born and lives in this one great nation and does not speak the majority language.
OK here is my attempt to turn my thinking positive!
Open minded people rock!

I made you...

"Mom come here I need you to try these on."
"Huh? Try on what?"
"These pants.  I made you some pants."
"Wow great job but I don't think these will fit me."
"Well they would if you could make yourself smaller.  Can't you do that?"
"ummm  nope."
"Oh well ok maybe when you are older you will be smaller and then these will fit."

"You wear this side in the day for work."

"These are for after work when you play with us."
"What are the spots from?"
"That's ice cream that Logan spilled on you,  but don't wash them Mom, the paper is just for pretend."

I now know two things...
She thinks I know how to do anything (shrink my body to fit these)
She thinks I am an idiot (that I would wash her paper pants)

She's 4... Lord help me when she's 5!

How Rockin' are the pants though!!

Desert

This might look edible but let me assure you it is not.  Dirt, miscellaneous spices, and chocolate syrup.
"Mommy aren't you going to eat your desert?"

Outdoor Kitchen

Sew Liberated posted an awesome outdoor kitchen.  Here is our version.  We spent $25.00 at the second hand store and got the table and all the kitchen stuff.

Two holes cut into the top so the bowls set in and hooks on the side to hold the utensils and we have ourselves a kitchen.  AWESOME!!!!
